Kid's Collaborate!
Writing and Performance Workshop
Open Dress - Wed June 1, 5:30p
Final Performance - Thu June 2, 6p
Local Dayton students walk us through a seemingly normal day at school...but what is normal? A mysterious crash through the ceiling, a desperate director looking for his actors, and even a celestial life form make for a day none of our players could've imagined.
Let by local author Mathew Klickstein, our students used real life experience to craft monologues that are interwoven throughout the show. Directed by TheatreLab Executive Director, Philip Drennen, come check out these bright and talented students and get a glimpse into our process!
“I was nervous because I haven’t danced in years but your jazz masterclass was so fun, I can’t wait for the next one!”
Throughout the year, Theatrelab Dayton offers intensive workshops for both youth and adult performers in focusing on the fundamentals of musical theatre, singing, dancing, and acting. Our teaching artists range from Dayton area professionals to Broadway and film veterans. Notable workshops include beginner’s improv, audition techniques, stage combat, character development, and playwriting. Whether you’re a beginner or an old pro, our workshops are designed to strengthen your skills while introducing you to new tools and techniques.
